  • Fuel Injection Service

Every time a driver presses a vehicle’s gas pedal, they are controlling how much air and fuel enters the engine. The air filter helps keep debris from entering the engine and it helps protect the fuel system.

Fuel injection service is important, especially if it has been a year or 15,000 miles. At this point, your engine could have already built up deposits. Dirt, varnish build-up, corrosion and carbon deposits restrict the flow of air and fuel to your engine. This happens with all fuel-injected vehicles.

The fuel from the fuel tank is typically pumped from a pump inside the fuel tank to the engine. In the line between the fuel tank and the engine, a fuel filter is typically present to help protect the fuel system. As a fuel filter slowly becomes clogged, the restricted fuel flow could lead to poor acceleration and reduced engine performance as well as other issues.

Routine fuel injection system maintenance helps avoid expensive repairs and restores the fuel system to its original design for maximum performance and fuel economy and minimum emissions.

With use, all fuel-injected vehicle engines build up deposits on the injectors. Dirt, varnish build-up, corrosion and carbon deposits restrict the flow of fuel to your engine and can cause:

Patriot Pit Stop can completely clean your entire fuel system of deposits including:

For performance, safety and the life of your vehicle, make sure a Fuel System Tune-up is a part of your normal maintenance schedule.
